MISSION
At Pacific Solar, we recognize that even the smallest changes can have large impacts. Not only do we believe in providing financial stability; we value the importance of ecological stability as well.
Pacific Solar is committed to providing alternative, sustainable energy solutions for our customers that will offset fossil fuels, CO2 emissions, gallons of gas for your vehicle, and more. We provide products that are long-lasting and have proven durability, which offset these environmental impacts for longer periods of time and require less servicing or replacement.
Within our own office, Pacific Solar strives to purchase and utilize products that are recycled, sustainable, and environmentally friendly. This includes being mindful of the environmental impact of supplies throughout their entire life-cycle; we work to eliminate/reduce the amount of byproduct going to landfills by ensuring that products can be properly recycled.
CURRENT INITIATIVES
OFFICE SUPPLIES
Our office researches and purchases office supplies that are made from post-consumer recycled materials.
Paper Consumption
Reduction in Paper Use
In an effort to reduce the amount of paper consumed in our office, Pacific Solar has migrated their proposals and contracts to digital platforms. This has led to a decrease of paper consumption by 27% over the course of three years.
Reduction in Fuel Consumption
In lieu of placing individual consumer orders, Pacific Solar purchases equipment requiring freight shipping in bulk, leading to a reduction in overall deliveries by freight companies. This effort leads to a significant reduction in fuel consumption. Furthermore, any items that do not have to be shipped are purchased locally in order to support the local economy, which also prevents unnecessary air/freight fuel consumption.
Reduction in Water Usage
Our company is in the heart of California’s Central Valley, which is regularly impacted by drought. In order to reduce water consumption for landscaping, Pacific Solar installed 1,440 square feet of synthetic lawn surrounding our new office location. As the average lawn requires 62.3 gallons per 1,000 square feet of water per week, this installation saves approximately 25,119 - 46,650 gallons of water per year.

Manufacturing Partners
Our team conducts extensive research to provide environmentally friendly and certified equipment to our customers. Within our solar panel catalog, over 90% are produced by SunPower from Maxeon Solar Technologies, who holds a Cradle to Cradle Silver certification, and Q Cell, who holds Class 1 Solar Module CFP certification.
Product Recycling
We ensure that our panels can be properly recycled after their end-of-life use. In addition, we ensure that packaging pallets are taken to a qualified recycling facility.
Future Goals
Our team routinely evaluates our operations in order to monitor their impact on our customers and the environment. This includes not only examining the products that we install for our consumers, but the day-to-day means in which we conduct our business.
Pacific Solar has started research on installing a water filtration system in our office in order to eliminate the need for delivery of 5-Gallon Water Bottles.
To further reduce our global footprint, we aim to reduce our paper consumption by an additional 15% by the end of 2023 and 30% by the end of 2024.
In order to offset 100% of our electricity, Pacific Solar will be installing a solar system on our newly purchased building within the first half of 2023.
Pacific Solar is switching our fleet from gas-powered vehicles to electric vehicles (EV). Our goal is to have fifty percent of our fleet be EV by the end of 2023, and one hundred percent electric by the end of 2024.
